Originally serialized in Dark Horse Comics (1992) #17-19, this tale led into the events of the highly popular six-issue DROIDS series, and is collected here for the first time. The DROIDS SPECIAL features previously unpublished preliminary illustrations by Bill Hughes, and a new cover by Kilian Plunkett. Fans should also note that this is the story that marks an appearance by bounty hunter droid IG-88, and introduces Olag Greck, Xob and the Corellian pilot, Jace Forno, to the Star Wars universe!
