Mary Jane and Ben Reilly are heartbroken at Peter's apparent passing in his hospital room. Neither would have guessed that a simple disease would fell the hero who many times defeated the likes of Doctor Octopus and the Green Goblin. In the meantime Dr. Curt Connors is also distraught that he could not save his long-time friend. Oh no, does this mean the Lizard is going to make an appearance? Yesss! However this Spider-Man vs. Lizard battle is slightly different than the ones in the past! Especially when the wall-crawler's back-from-the-dead ally arrives to help!
